The sea lilies were one of the favorite subjects of the ancient Cycladic civilazation. This pitcher is decorated with sea lilies and according to archaeologists, it was used by the ancient inhabitants of Milos island either to wash their guests’ hands or to transport wine during their festivals.
The intricately decorated vessel realistically captures the movement of the water among the flowers of the seabed.
The vase is handmade and hand-painted in Greece, using traditional techniques and ecological colors.
