Kantharus vase

An excellent vase from the Ancient Greek Geometric Period. The design was arranged in five horizontal lines with representations of geometric symbols such as triangles, squares and rhombuses. In a prominent central position of the vase the theme inspired by nature; the birds were one of the favorite subjects of the artists of the geometric period. The artwork is hand-painted using the same material and colors as the original.
