Kamares ware vase with polychrome images

This Ancient Minoan Kamares style/rhythm vase is decorated with polychrome images inspired by nature.
These vases have curved walls and are named ‘artoschima’ due to their shape. They were used as containers for ointments and aromatic oils during both the Minoan and Mycenaean ancient Greek eras.
This artwork is an excellent example of pottery from this period and is unique for its sharp, colorful surface. It would make a beautiful addition to your personal space or collection.
