Kamares ware cup

One of the most beautiful types of jars of the Minoan Age (2700-1450 B.C): The colourful Kamares ware, named after Kamares cave where they were first discovered. They were made in the potteries of the Knossos and Phaistos palace complexes and exported across the entire eastern Mediterranean and Egypt. They were usually decorated with complex curvilinear designs full of imagination and themes from the natural world.
