Antefix 2 pieces-big

Antefixes were first exhibited in Ancient Greece, where they were used to decorate the edges of roofs. Apart from their decorative character, ancient Greeks believed that antefixes brought good fortune and prosperity to the home or the temple that had them. Their decoration included themes from mythology or from nature, such as palm trees (anthemia), or the leaf of the thorn.
